Slowing Down Is Key
We live in a fast-paced world. Slowing down is hard to do when we’re so used to rushing around. Stretching is one of the few times of the day you can close your eyes, breath deep and just let it all go. It’s almost universally agreed that each stretch should take about 30 seconds to complete. Moving from one stretch to another should be languid. Take time to set your body properly for each stretch and really try to feel it as you move from one motion to another.
A great way to get into a slow mindset is to create a space for stretching. Being able to shape a soothing atmosphere through lights, music and decorations can go a long way towards helping you slow down and relax. Remember to breathe deeply and take the time to enjoy the moment as it might be the only peace and quiet you get for the whole day.
