High Intensity Interval Training is an amazing way to burn calories and get that thyroid humming. Though it sounds like the polar opposite of the NEAT approach and is definitely not for everyone, giving it is a shot is worthwhile. The most common HIIT is a “sprint, walk” repetition, alternating between 30-second sprints followed by 30 seconds of walking. Most people do this 10 times and call it a day. Other common themes are infinite push ups or squats; doing 10 repetitions and then resting 30 seconds until your body gives out.

While HIIT has shown consistently to give positive results, it does require a ton of discipline from the user and many health professionals doubt the average population would really benefit from a routine like this. Prove them wrong. Prove them all wrong.
