Is Your Liver Damaged? 10 Symptoms Of Liver Disease
8. Urine Discoloration
There are a number of reasons your urine may be coming out darker than what would be considered normal; the most likely culprit is that your body is having issues breaking down and filtering bilirubin. Bilirubin is what your body uses to break down dead, red blood cells within the liver. Too much bilirubin in your system is known as having jaundice. Liver disease can hinder your liver’s ability to filter and dispose of bilirubin.
If your urine is coming out dark, anywhere from orange to cola coloured, there is reason to be concerned your liver or bile ducts could be damaged. You may not have liver disease but it’s still best to see a doctor to rule out and diagnose possible illnesses.
