Understanding Lymphatic Cancer: 10 Common Symptoms of Lymphoma

1. Swollen Lymph Nodes

The main difference between Hodgkins and Non-Hodgkins related lymphomas is where they initially can manifest. Hodgkin’s lymphoma begins in the lymph nodes and then, if left untreated, spreads through the rest of the lymphatic system and organs. Spotting a swollen lymph node is an early indicator that you may have lymphoma.

Most often, enlarged lymph nodes are painless and are detected in the underarm areas, sides of the neck, above the collarbone or groin. This is because these areas contain lymph nodes close to the surface of the skin. While there are many infections which cause inflamed lymph nodes, if you experience this symptom in conjunction with any of the others listed here it should be a cause for concern.
