7. Get a Good Nights Rest
Sleep is a restorative period for our bodies; systems drop into a state of rest as muscles and organs regenerate. When we’re asleep, our brain’s release microglia to clean any unwanted particles or deposits which might be lodged in the brain. The less sleep we get, the less time these brain cleaners have to do their job.
It’s recommended that we all shoot for about seven hours of sleep a night. Quality of sleep is also important to consider; having the flashing lights of a t.v or video game right before bed will inhibit your ability to get a good rest, in turn wearing your brain down.
