Your Urine Smells “Sickly” Sweet

Most changes in your urine odor may not be a sign of diabetes and may go away in time. Foods and medicines, including vitamins/supplements, may affect your urine’s odor. A well-known example is eating asparagus causes a distinct smell.

Foul smelling urine may be due to bacteria such as a bladder infection. But it’s the sweet smelling urine that could be a clue to uncontrolled diabetes or possible a rare disease of your metabolism.
