Is Your Liver Damaged? 10 Symptoms Of Liver Disease
3. Skin Irritation and Itching

Itching or irritation is another symptom that is caused by so many things it can be easy to ignore. Officially known as pruritus, skin irritation has been linked to liver disease and is a common symptom and early warning sign.
The reason for itching in relation to liver disease is still considered unknown but a popular belief is that it has to do with bile obstruction and high bilirubin counts. These factors, combined with a sick liver, halt the removal of bile salts, instead depositing them near the surface of the skin. Itching is believed to be a symptom of these bile salt deposits.
